My thoughts on the current state of CS2…

… and why so many organizations are shutting down

I built this organization because I want to know whether it is still possible to keep something alive in a scene that has become completely money-driven.
It’s depressing to watch orgs disappear simply because they can’t make enough profit, or because sponsors refuse to pay unless a team qualifies for this or that event.

We’re starting from the bottom — but I want to find people whose heart is in the project, just like mine. People for whom money isn’t the point.
If everyone brings their talent, without obsessing over salary or profit, then we are not dependent on sponsors who only see value in an org when it’s on camera.

Just look at how far I’ve come alone (I mean literally alone, with my two hands):
I have a professional, badass-looking website — not just by Hungarian standards, but internationally.
A full brand, a logo people can actually relate to, not another soulless whatever that tries to communicate they’re here to conquer the world.
A whole idea, built from scratch.

And if I add up the money I’ve spent so far?
About €260:
– my own jersey and my own mug, just to see how the brand looks: ≈ €39
– a quick professional photoshoot: ≈ €130
– a website template: ≈ €65
– a .hu domain + hosting: ≈ €26

That’s it.
About €260 from my own savings — and the result already looks better, or at least on par with orgs that spend millions.

A lovable brand with a lovable, pathetic dog.
Born from creativity, not from corporate funding.

I don’t have players yet — but I will.
And just like me, and just like my photographer friend who offered to shoot for free once the team exists…
everyone who joins will put their soul into it.

And that’s what I’m curious about:
If an org is born like this, in a world where money devours everything…
can it survive because it wasn’t built on money?
Because we were born from talent, not from funding?

We are not strong.
We don’t want to be strong.
We are not big.
We don’t want to conquer the world — and we won’t.
We want to win the world.
And while doing it… why not win a few matches too?
